About:

Umer Rupani is an expert in voter suppression, voter behavior, in-person and mail-in voting, misinformation, the Electoral College and election results.

Umer was the executive director of the Georgia Muslim Voter Project (GAMVP), a non-profit dedicated to enhancing civic engagement in Muslim communities. For his work with GAMVP, Umer was selected as a Muslim Making Change by Muslim Advocates. Through his education, experience with minority communities, and dedication to non-profits, Umer aims to challenge existing institutions to be more equitable and representative communities. The issue areas Umer organizes around are: voting rights, youth advocacy, and enhancing minority voices.
