About:

Sara Mullen started at the ACLU of Pennsylvania as a volunteer in its Pittsburgh office in 1997. She joined the staff as the office manager in January 1998 and became assistant director of the Pittsburgh Chapter in 2000. Sara transferred to the Philadelphia office in November 2002. Sara currently serves as the organization’s advocacy and policy director.

She received her B.A. in Middle Eastern history from the University of Chicago with honors. Prior to joining the ACLU, Sara worked in publishing.
