Dr. Lajevardi is an expert on the political behavior and political attitudes of racial, ethnic, and religious minorities in the US. Her scholarship examines how stigmatized groups — and Muslim Americans in particular — fare in American democracy. Broadly, her scholarship is related to race and ethnic politics, political behavior, voting rights and disenfranchisement, and immigration. Her scholarship has been published or in venues, such as American Political Science Review, The Journal of Politics, Political Behavior, and Cambridge University Press, among others.
