My primary areas of expertise are voting and elections, election administration, voter turnout, and congressional elections and legislative behavior. I have conducted small-scale and large-scale survey research, experimental and quasi-experimental, and qualitative research designs. I currently lead the data collection team for the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s Election Administration and Voting Survey (EAVS), which collects data on election administration from nearly 6,500 jurisdictions across the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories.
