Dr. Lawrence A. Q. Burnley is the inaugural Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for the Shaker Heights City School District. Prior to that, he was appointed University of Dayton’s inaugural vice president for diversity and inclusion on July 1, 2016. Previously, Dr. Lawrence Burnley served as the Associate Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Asst. Professor of History at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. He is also president and co-founder of Inclusive Engagements, LLC.
