Grace Chimene is the President of the League of Women Voters of Texas whose mission is empowering voters and defending democracy. As president she:

Leads efforts to provide trusted voter education on LWVTexas.org, social media, the nonpartisan Voters Guide.

Directs advocacy supporting League positions on election law, redistricting and other issues important to voters at the Texas capitol.

Leads 3,500 members and 10,000 volunteer supporters to increase the League’s impact in Texas.
The Texas League educated well over one million Texas voters during the 2020 elections, filed numerous lawsuits and led community advocacy efforts to address voter suppression efforts in Texas.
A retired pediatric nurse practitioner, Chimene joined the League in 2012 and has served on the LWVTX board since 2014.
