Fellowships

Thank you to Fellows and Newsrooms!

Fewer journalists have been forced to cover more news with fewer resources. So, it was no surprise to us when newsrooms told us what they needed most as they prepared to cover this chaotic election: more people. In response, we launched the Election SOS fellowship program to match students and recent grads with newsrooms across the country.

From October to December, 39 fellows worked at 20 newsrooms across the country supporting democracy. You can read more about the incredible work the fellows were able to accomplish here.

Election SOS Fellowship Training

Before joining their newsrooms, fellows underwent training relevant to their roles. As a part of our Election SOS mission, we would like to share some of these training sessions with you as you continue with your coverage.
